How to stop mac from going to sleep?
I'm doing some deep work on my Mac and it keeps going to sleep, which breaks my focus. I need to keep it awake for longer periods. How can I adjust the settings to stop my Mac from sleeping automatically?

I had this same issue during long downloads. Just go to System Settings, click on Lock Screen, and set 'Turn display off on battery/power adapter' to Never.
Hello, I am also facing this issue while trying to watch lectures. Does changing the energy saver settings affect the battery life in the long run?
Welcome to the group! To keep your screen on, head to System Settings > Battery, and adjust the slider for 'Turn display off after'. It's very simple to set up!
This is a quick fix. You can download a free, lightweight app called Amphetamine from the App Store; it keeps your Mac awake with a single click in the menu bar.
If you don't want to install third-party apps, just open your Terminal and type 'caffeinate' then hit enter. It will prevent your Mac from sleeping until you close the terminal window.
No need to buy any paid software to keep your screen on. The built-in energy settings or free apps like Amphetamine cost zero rupees and work absolutely fine.
