How to stop intense tooth pain?

Woke up with an excruciating toothache today, and it's making it impossible to concentrate. What can I do to get rid of this intense tooth pain quickly? I'm scheduled for a dental appointment next week, but I need some immediate relief.

I had intense tooth pain once and it was horrible. I just remember I couldn't eat anything and had to rush to the dentist. He gave me some pain medication and then started treatment. Couldn't do much at home honestly.

Tooth pain is seriously debilitating, yaar. It can make you so irritable and unable to focus on anything. Don't feel bad if it's getting you down, it's completely understandable to struggle with that kind of constant discomfort.

Intense tooth pain sounds absolutely terrible, I can only imagine. I'm just looking this up because I always wonder what people do in such emergencies. Hope you find some quick relief, this is one of those pains you can't ignore.

Oh, I know this pain very well. First thing, if it's severe, get to a dentist ASAP, don't delay. While waiting, you can try rinsing with warm salt water; it helps reduce inflammation. A cold compress on your cheek might also give some temporary relief.

For severe tooth pain, the best thing is to get it checked by a dentist immediately; it's usually a sign of something that needs professional attention. OTC pain relievers like paracetamol or ibuprofen can help with the discomfort in the meantime, but they won't fix the cause.
