How to stop dry socket pain?

I recently had a tooth extraction, and now I'm dealing with a dry socket. The pain is just unbearable, much worse than I expected. Is there anything I can do to stop dry socket pain, apart from the medication the dentist gave me?

Dry socket is seriously painful, I've heard. The best practical solution is to go back to the dentist immediately. They clean it and pack it with medicated gauze. Don't try to home remedy this, it needs professional care.

Ayyo, dry socket is no small matter. It's very important to see the dentist who did the extraction. They will clean it and put some medicine in. Don't delay it. My aunt had it once, and only the dentist could properly manage the pain.

Dry socket dard bahut tez hota hai, bhai. Iss mein ghar ke nuskhe nahi chalte. Aap jaldi se apne daant ke doctor ke paas jaao. Wohi sahi davaai laga ke dard kam kar payenge. Dhyan rakho apna.

Oh god, dry socket sounds terrifyingly painful! Please don't try to handle this at home. This definitely sounds like something that needs a proper dentist's visit right away. I'd be so anxious to wait, so please see a professional soon!

Dude, dry socket is no joke. I had it after my wisdom tooth was pulled. The only thing that stopped the pain was going back to the dentist. They put this special paste thing in it, and it felt better almost immediately. So yeah, dentist is your best bet.

Dry socket is post-extraction pain due to loss of the blood clot. It's crucial to return to your oral surgeon or dentist. They will clean the socket, place medicated dressing (like Alvogyl), and usually prescribe pain meds. Keep it clean as per their instructions, and avoid smoking or straw use.

I've been reading about dry socket and it sounds absolutely awful. Is there really nothing you can do at home at all, like gargling or something, to even temporarily ease it while waiting for a dentist appointment? Just curious.
