How to stop dry mouth with diabetes?

Being diabetic, I constantly have a very dry mouth, especially at night. It's uncomfortable and makes it hard to talk sometimes. I drink plenty of water, but it doesn't seem to help much. How can I stop dry mouth with diabetes?

My dad has diabetes and he often complained about dry mouth. He used to sip water frequently throughout the day, and also found some relief with sugar-free candies or chewing gum. For specific medical advice, I always told him to ask his doctor.

Haan ji, dry mouth is a big issue with diabetes na. Meri bhabhi ko bhi hota hai. She always keeps a water bottle with her. Aur haan, sugar-free mouthwash bhi use karti hai. Best hai ke apne doc se baat karo, they might prescribe something.

With diabetes, dry mouth can be a symptom of uncontrolled blood sugar or even nerve damage. Please do not self-medicate or rely on remedies. Visit your endocrinologist or a good general physician immediately. They can check your blood sugar levels and suggest proper management or medication.

My doctor explained that high blood sugar can cause increased urination, leading to dehydration and dry mouth. They advised me to monitor my sugar levels strictly, stay very well hydrated, and also suggested using artificial saliva products if it gets too severe. Chewing sugar-free gum can also stimulate saliva production.

I had this a few months back when my sugar levels were a bit high. It was so uncomfortable. What truly helped was getting my blood sugar under control with diet and medication. Also, avoiding salty foods and caffeine helped a lot. Keep sipping water constantly.

Ayyo, dry mouth can be quite bothersome. My mother always said to keep little sips of water or buttermilk handy. But for diabetes, it's very important to follow the doctor's advice carefully. They know best how to manage your sugar levels, which is the root cause for this.

My friend's grandpa has diabetes and always keeps a small water bottle. He also chews gum a lot, but like, sugar-free type. It's probably best to ask your doc though, since it's about diabetes.
