How to stop burn pain?

Yesterday, I accidentally spilled hot tea on my hand and it's quite painful now. The skin is red and feels very sensitive. What can I do to relieve this burn pain?

Bro, if it's a minor burn, run cold tap water on it for like 15-20 mins. It really helps bring down the sting. No ice directly though, that's what my mom always said.

Modern first aid guidelines always say cool water immediately. Apps even remind you to do it for at least 10 minutes. Don't put anything else like toothpaste or butter, that's an old myth and can make it worse.

For very minor burns, after cooling, some people apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel. It's natural and can be soothing. But this is strictly for small, superficial burns, not anything serious.

Any burn that causes significant pain, blistering, or is large in size, needs immediate medical attention. Don't try to treat it yourself with home remedies. It's always safer to get it checked by a doctor to prevent infection or further damage.

Beta, if it's just a small kitchen burn, put it under running cold water immediately. Don't use ice. After some time, apply some pure aloe vera gel. If it's a big burn or has blisters, then you must go to the doctor, don't delay.

For small burns, the primary thing is to get cool (not icy) water on it right away. It helps stop the burning process and reduces pain. Proper first aid is crucial before anything else. For larger or deep burns, seek medical attention.

Stopping burn pain depends on the severity. For a minor burn, cool water for a good amount of time helps. But for anything more than superficial, or if it's blistering, please see a doctor. Self-treatment can be risky.
