How to stop braces pain after tightening?

Just got my braces tightened yesterday, and my teeth ache like anything! Eating is so difficult, even soft food. What can I do to relieve this pain, it's really uncomfortable.

Braces pain after tightening is quite normal, like a dull ache. My niece experienced it too. Our elders would say to eat soft foods. But for pain, a mild painkiller like paracetamol, as your orthodontist would advise, is best. Don't worry, it usually subsides in a day or two.

Oh, that fresh tightening pain is the worst! I remember trying warm salt water rinses, and honestly, it does help soothe the gums a little. Sticking to soft foods like dal-chawal or smoothies is also key for a few days. But for the actual ache, a basic painkiller is usually needed.

Been there, done that with braces! The tightening pain is temporary but annoying. My realistic tip: take a painkiller about an hour before your appointment, so it kicks in right after tightening. Also, a cold compress on your cheeks helps, and stick to smoothies and soft foods for a couple of days.

Braces tightening pain is a productivity killer. My orthodontist always recommended taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen or paracetamol right after the appointment, and then sticking to soft foods. This minimizes discomfort so you can get back to your routine quickly.

Braces pain can interfere with sleep and even focus. I'd track my pain levels in a health app to see how long it lasts and what helps. For immediate relief, a cold pack on the outside of your jaw can numb it, and remember to use orthodontic wax on any sharp bits. Stick to your pain meds as advised by your ortho.

Braces pain is just part of the process, like muscle soreness after a heavy workout, haha. Just gotta push through for the results! For pain, stick to protein shakes and soft foods for a day or two so you don't irritate your teeth more. Your ortho should advise on painkillers if needed.

Oh my god, the first time my braces were tightened, I thought I'd made a huge mistake, the pain was so bad! I totally panicked. But my ortho reassured me it's completely normal and temporary. Take your prescribed painkiller, use orthodontic wax, and eat soft foods. It really does get better each time!

My son just went through this! His orthodontist told us to give him paracetamol an hour before his appointment. After tightening, a cold compress on his cheeks helped, and we made sure to stock up on soft foods like dahi, khichdi, and soups. It passes in a couple of days, just support them.

The pressure from braces tightening can be quite intense. While not a direct pain reliever, deep, calming breaths (pranayama) can help manage the general discomfort and anxiety. Focus on gentle, nourishing foods. Also, being mindful and accepting the temporary nature of the pain can help you cope better.

Braces pain after tightening? Oh, the joys of perfectly straight teeth! 😂 It's like your mouth is throwing a mini tantrum. Seriously though, pop a painkiller your dentist approved, stick to eating only soft stuff, and avoid anything hard or chewy. This too shall pass, thankfully!

Haan bhai, braces tighten hone ke baad dard toh hota hi hai. Normal hai. Bas soft soft cheezein khao, jaise daal chawal ya dahi. Aur agar zyada dard ho, toh jo painkiller doc ne bola hai, woh le lo. Na, zyada tension nahi lene ka, thoda time mein theek ho jaega.

Ho na, braces ka dard thoda time toh rehta hai. It's like your teeth are getting used to the change. My doctor told me to use orthodontic wax on any sharp edges and take a mild painkiller if needed. Thoda ice cream bhi kha sakte ho, it gives some relief, haan.
