How to stop a heart attack immediately?

My husband has a history of heart issues, and I'm always worried. If he were to have a heart attack, what can be done to stop it immediately? What are the first steps?

When such a serious thing happens, the first thing is to remain calm, as much as possible, and call for help. Have faith, and ensure medical assistance reaches quickly. Take care of your body, it is a temple.

My doctor, a cardiologist, stressed that there's no way to 'stop' a heart attack immediately at home once it's actively occurring. The ONLY course of action is to call emergency services (108 in India) immediately. If aspirin is available and the person isn't allergic or bleeding, they can chew a non-enteric-coated aspirin (300mg) while waiting for help, but that's it.

For diabetic patients, the risk of heart disease is higher. If someone is having a suspected heart attack, forget home remedies. It's an emergency. Call 108 immediately and get them to the hospital. Time is very crucial.
