How to soothe nerve pain?

My father has diabetes, and sometimes he complains of sharp, burning nerve pain in his feet. It seems to bother him a lot, especially at night. What can we do to help soothe his nerve pain?

For nerve health, getting enough Vitamin B12 is very crucial, especially for vegetarians since our options are limited. I include dairy products and fortified foods in my daily diet. Please consult your physician to check if you need B12 supplements.

Nerve pain can be so frustrating, haan na. Warm water baths help me relax when the tingling sensation gets too much. But it is always best to visit a neurologist rather than self-treating at home.

At fifty-four, my nerves have a mind of their own and love to shoot pain whenever they feel like it. I find that gentle walks and keeping my feet warm helps a bit. Otherwise, I just take the medicine my doctor prescribed and sleep it off.

I can't suggest any remedies because nerve issues are quite complex. When I had severe tingling in my hands, I didn't try anything at home and went straight to a specialist. They ran some nerve conduction tests to find the exact issue.

Honestly, cutting down on extra spicy street food and sugary tea actually reduced the inflammatory feeling in my body. Drinking warm milk with a pinch of turmeric at night helps me feel much better and sleep through the discomfort.

I freaked out when I first felt a sharp, shooting pain down my leg, thinking it was something permanent. Thankfully, the doctor told me it was just a pinched nerve from sitting wrong and resolved with some basic exercises. Don't worry, just get it checked!
