How to soothe jaw pain?

Since yesterday, I've had this persistent jaw pain, particularly when I open my mouth wide or chew. It's making it hard to eat properly. What can I do to soothe this jaw pain?

I used to get bad jaw pain from clenching my teeth during sleep when stressed. Applying a warm moist compress to my cheeks before bed really helped relax the muscles. My dentist eventually made a night guard for me which solved the issue.

If you sit staring at a screen all day, poor posture can actually cause referred jaw pain. Try keeping your phone at eye level and doing quick neck stretches every hour. If it is a dental issue or wisdom tooth, don't waste time and just get a quick dental X-ray.

I agree with keeping your diet soft; eating only soups and khichdi for two days really helped rest my sore jaw joints.

Heavy lifting can sometimes make you unconsciously clench your jaw, which leads to major soreness. I had to focus on keeping my lips closed but teeth apart during my lifts. Also, avoid chewing hard foods or gum for a few days to let those jaw muscles recover.

Faltu mein din bhar chewing gum chabana band karo, jaw pain apne aap theek ho jayega. Thoda garm paani se sek lo aur khana bilkul naram khao do din. Agar dard badhta hai toh seedhe dentist ke paas jao, zyada socho mat.
