How to soothe gum pain?

My gums have been really sore and painful recently, making it hard to eat. I'm waiting for a dental appointment, but the discomfort is constant. Are there any home remedies or things I can do to soothe gum pain in the meantime?

When my blood pressure shoots up, even my gum sensitivity seems to feel worse. I find that doing a gentle warm saltwater rinse twice a day helps bring down the swelling safely. Make sure you keep up with your regular health checkups, as gum health can impact your overall system.

I have noticed that hormonal changes with PCOS sometimes make my gums more sensitive and prone to bleeding. I gently rinse with warm salt water to soothe it, but I don't try any aggressive home remedies. It is always safer to ask a dentist if the pain persists for more than a few days.

Just go see a dentist instead of waiting for it to get worse. In the meantime, use a warm saltwater gargle to keep the area clean and reduce inflammation. And stop using hard toothbrushes, switch to an ultra-soft one immediately to prevent further gum irritation.

Sometimes nutrient deficiencies can make gums tender, so make sure you are getting enough Vitamin C in your diet through citrus fruits if your stomach permits. Avoid eating very hot or sharp foods like dry toast that can scrape the gums. Stick to soft, warm khichdi and boiled vegetables until the pain subsides.

I panicked completely when my gums started hurting, thinking it was some deep bone infection. But it turned out to be just a minor irritation from a hard piece of food. A few warm saltwater rinses cleared it right up in two days, so try that and don't worry too much.

If you don't have time to run to a clinic during busy workdays, a quick saltwater rinse is your best immediate bet. Apply a tiny amount of clove oil on a cotton bud directly to the spot for quick, temporary numbing. But if it is a recurring tooth issue, book a proper dental appointment over the weekend.

As someone managing diabetes, I know that high blood sugar can lead to frequent gum infections and slower healing. I keep my oral hygiene spotless and use warm saltwater rinses to soothe any pain. If you have diabetes, never ignore gum pain; get a dentist to check it out immediately.
