I got a huge white sore inside my lip and immediately started googling if it was some serious oral disease, which made me super stressed. Applying a tiny bit of honey or a protective gel helped protect it from touching my teeth. Please see a dentist if it doesn't heal in ten days.

Canker sores are the worst because they literally stop me from enjoying my spicy biryani and tangy golgappas. I survive on cold vanilla ice cream and curd rice for a couple of days to keep the mouth cool. It is the perfect excuse to eat desserts for dinner!

I have just developed my first painful canker sore on the side of my tongue and it hurts to talk. Are there specific toothpaste brands we should avoid when we have these sores? I would really appreciate any gentle advice on this.

I panicked completely when I saw multiple white sores in my mouth, thinking it was a major infection. My doctor reassured me that they are just common mouth ulcers caused by stress or accidentally biting my cheek. They healed completely on their own in a week, so don't worry.

Just buy a basic over-the-counter soothing gel containing choline salicylate and apply it before eating. Avoid spicy, acidic foods completely for three days so you don't irritate the raw skin. It is a very simple issue that resolves itself with basic care.
