The first 3-4 days after getting braces adjusted are always the hardest, but it gets much better. Use the orthodontic wax your dentist gave you on the brackets that poke your cheeks, and stick to soft foods like khichdi or yogurt. Cold water also helps numb the soreness temporarily.

I finally got my braces off last month after two long years. Warm salt water rinses three times a day really helped heal my inner cheek cuts during the initial adjustment phases. Just hang in there, the final result of a perfect smile is totally worth all this temporary pain!

When managing any chronic health routine like thyroid checks or dental alignments, consistency is very important. Always ask your orthodontist for a safe pain-relief gel during your monthly tightening visits, and make sure to follow up regularly to monitor your progress.

I literally got my wires tightened yesterday and I can't even chew soft rice right now. I'm just living on cold milk and cup noodles for now. Ortho wax is my absolute best friend otherwise the metal cuts my cheeks when I talk in class.

Does anyone else get severe headaches and jaw pain after their braces wire gets changed? It makes me so anxious and I can barely concentrate on my studies for two days. I hope this extreme tightness is normal for everyone else too.

I absolutely panicked on day two because my teeth felt so loose and painful that I thought they would fall out. My dentist laughed and reassured me that this pressure is completely normal as the teeth start shifting. Don't worry, the pain will fade away in a couple of days.

Honestly, the worst part of getting braces adjusted is not being able to bite into a crispy pani puri or roll. I survive on creamy mashed potatoes, cold smoothies, and soft kheer during those first few days. Treat yourself to soft delicacies so you don't feel sad about missing out on solid food!

During my treatment, I personally found that chewing on a soft silicone teether helper soothe the deep ache in my gums. Swirling cool water in my mouth also gave me quick, temporary relief when the brackets felt too tight.

Bro, just eat lots of ice cream for the first two days, it literally numbs the pain instantly. Also, salt water gargles are a lifesaver if the metal brackets are cutting the inside of your mouth. Keep doing it and you will be fine.

Managing pain can sometimes temporarily stress your body and affect your blood pressure, so it is important to stay calm. Drink plenty of cool water, take proper rest, and make sure to consult your dentist before taking any over-the-counter painkillers.

Look, braces pain is just part of the process, so let's accept it. Drink cold milkshakes, apply a little oral anesthetic gel if the sores are bad, and avoid chewing anything hard like nuts. If it is genuinely unbearable, call your orthodontist to loosen the wire a bit.
