How to solve kidney pain?

Since last week, I've been having this dull pain in my lower back, which feels like kidney pain. It's really bothering me, especially when I sit for long. How can I get relief?

Kidney pain is not something you should try to manage at home. Go to a good hospital, get an ultrasound done, and ask your doctor clearly about the cause, whether it is a stone or an infection.

I just recovered from severe back pain that turned out to be a 6mm kidney stone. Drink lots of water, but please see a doctor immediately if you experience any vomiting or fever along with the pain.

Kidney pain is often confused with normal muscle spasm. If the pain is sharp, comes in waves, and radiates towards your lower abdomen, it is likely a stone. Do not delay visiting a clinic.

My grandmother always recommended drinking barley water to flush out impurities. While I do that, I highly recommend consulting a doctor to get a proper diagnosis before taking any home remedies.

Make sure you are drinking enough water, especially if you are consuming protein supplements. Dehydration can strain your kidneys, but for any actual pain, you must stop working out and see a medical professional.

I barely sleep as it is, and a sudden sharp ache in the side would completely ruin whatever rest I get. Don't sit around hoping it will disappear; get it checked so you can sleep peacefully.

Avoid taking over-the-counter painkillers like ibuprofen or diclofenac, as they can cause direct harm to your kidneys. A simple urine routine test can quickly show if there is an infection.
