How to sleep with tooth pain?

This tooth pain is unbearable, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. It just throbs and keeps me awake. What can I do to sleep with severe tooth pain?

Make sure you sleep with your head elevated on a couple of pillows! It keeps the blood from rushing to your head, which really helps reduce the throbbing pain so you can get some sleep.

For tooth pain, some people suggest keeping sweet cloves or honey, but as a diabetic, I avoid that. I just do a warm salt water rinse before bed and sleep with my head raised high on pillows to keep the pain under control.

When pain keeps you awake, practicing sheetali pranayama (cooling breath) can help soothe the mouth thoda. Lie down with your head elevated and focus on calm, deep breathing to relax your body.

Avoid lying completely flat as that increases blood pressure in your head and worsens the toothache. Keep your head elevated with pillows. Avoid any heavy cardio if you are taking painkillers for the tooth.

Does anyone else's tooth pain get ten times worse the moment you lie down to sleep? It is so scary and keeps me awake thinking it's a major infection. Is this normal or should I worry?

Keep a single clove near the aching tooth, it has natural oils that numb the pain thoda. But remember, this is only for tonight so you can sleep. You must visit a dentist tomorrow for a proper checkup.
