How to sleep with sunburn?

Oh my god, I got such a bad sunburn on my back and shoulders yesterday. It's so painful and hot, I can't find a comfortable way to sleep. What's the best way to sleep when you have a sunburn?

Sprinkling some cold water or using a damp, cool towel on the skin for 10 minutes before bed helps a lot. Try putting some talcum powder on your bedsheets to reduce friction against your skin. Rest well!

Apply a good amount of pure aloe vera gel on the sunburn before bed; it really cools down the skin. Wear extremely loose cotton clothes and avoid sleeping directly on the burnt side. Keep the fan or AC at a comfortable level.

My son got a bad sunburn during his school sports day. I applied cool calamine lotion all over his back and made him sleep on his stomach thoda. Loose cotton sheets are a must to avoid irritating the skin further.

Our bodies have a wonderful way of healing themselves when we sleep. Just wear light cotton, drink plenty of water to hydrate from within, and stay peaceful. It will feel much better by tomorrow morning.

Please be careful if the sunburn has started forming blisters or if you have a fever. I ignored a severe sunburn once and it got infected, which required medical treatment. If it's very painful, please see a dermatologist immediately.
