How to sleep with rotator cuff pain?

My shoulder has been aching for a while now, probably from working on the computer too much. This rotator cuff pain is making nights miserable. Any advice on sleeping positions or anything that helps ease the pain at night?

Please keep a positive mind and do not let the pain worry you too much, as healing takes its own sweet time. Try to rest on your back with a soft, warm cloth under your shoulder to soothe the area before sleeping. Take care of your health and let your body recover peacefully.

When I had rotator cuff issues from heavy bench presses, sleeping on my back was the only option. I tucked a pillow under my knees and another small one under my injured elbow to prevent any internal rotation of the joint. Also, keeping inflammation low with a clean diet really speeds up the recovery.

Bro, sleeping with this pain is impossible when u keep turning around in bed. I literally built a wall of pillows on my injured side so I wouldn't accidentally roll over on it during the night. It works like a charm and saves u from waking up screaming.

Yaar, rotator cuff pain actually peaks the moment you try to lie flat on the bed. I had to use a travel neck pillow while sleeping on my back to keep my posture locked in. It sounds weird but it works because you don't shift your weight onto the shoulder.

I just recovered from this last week after a month of struggle. What finally saved me was sleeping on the healthy side while hugging a massive body pillow to keep my bad shoulder from slouching forward. It completely stopped the morning stiffness.

Haan na, shoulder pain stays so bad at night, especially when it gets cold. I always keep my arm propped up on a soft cushion right next to my stomach. This keeps the shoulder very relaxed and sleep comes much easier, honestly.

If your doctor says it is okay, doing some light mobility exercises like pendulum swings before bed can help release the joint tension. Keeping the blood flowing through light movement really prevents the shoulder from locking up and hurting when you try to sleep.
