How to sleep with rhomboid pain?

I've been having this dull ache between my shoulder blades, which I think is rhomboid pain, and it's worse at night. I can't seem to find a comfortable position. Any advice on how to sleep to alleviate this?

I just got over a terrible rhomboid spasm last week. The trick is to sleep on your back with a thin pillow under your head, and put a small rolled towel under your knees to keep your upper back completely flat and relaxed.

I hope your back pain gets better soon. Just try to sleep on your back on a firm surface, and keep a warm compress under your shoulder for ten minutes before sleeping.

I totally get it, that sharp pain between your shoulder blades makes even breathing while lying down so painful. Try hugging a large pillow to your chest while sleeping on your good side; it supports your upper back beautifully.

Bhai, don't sleep on that painful side at all. Lay down straight on your back, keep your hands by your side, and put a warm cotton cloth on your upper back to soothe the pain.

My physiotherapist explained that rhomboid pain happens when the muscles between your shoulder blades get overstretched. He advised me to sleep on my side with a pillow tucked between my arms so my shoulders don't collapse forward and strain the muscle further.
