How to sleep with restless legs?

My legs feel so restless at night, like I constantly need to move them, which makes it impossible to fall asleep. My husband keeps complaining I'm kicking him too! Does anyone else experience this and how do you manage to sleep?

I have struggled with restless legs for years and tried everything. For me, taking a warm water bath right before bed and doing some light hamstring stretches under a heavy blanket works best to calm that creepy-crawly feeling.

Don't get frustrated, child. At our age, we learn that keeping the legs warm and massaging them with a little warm mustard oil before sleeping helps a lot. It gets better, just stay relaxed.

Managing my high blood pressure taught me that overall lifestyle changes are crucial. Cutting out evening tea and coffee, along with doing some light leg stretching, helped significantly reduce my nighttime leg restlessness.

I feel like my legs are running a marathon while the rest of my body is trying to sleep. Honestly, I've spent half the night shaking my feet like a crazy person just to get ten minutes of peace!

Does anyone else get this intense urge to move their legs the minute they lie down to sleep? It makes me so anxious and tired because I feel like my legs won't stop twitching all night.

My doctor mentioned this might be restless legs syndrome. Should I get my iron and ferritin levels checked, or is there a simple exercises I can do at night to stop it?

My restless legs were actually linked to nutritional deficiencies caused by my thyroid imbalance. Please visit your doctor and get your blood work done, as correcting these levels is the only real way to get restful sleep.
