How to sleep with peripheral neuropathy?

My legs and feet often feel tingly or numb because of peripheral neuropathy, especially at night. It's so uncomfortable and makes it very hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Is there a particular sleeping position or any trick to sleep better with this condition?

Keeping a soft, fluffy pillow under your legs works wonders to relieve that pressure! Also, make sure your bedsheets are loose so they don't rub against your sensitive toes at night.

Over the years, I've seen many people find relief by keeping their feet slightly elevated. A warm water foot soak just before bed, followed by a gentle massage with coconut oil, can also soothe the nerve endings for better sleep.

Personally, my doctor prescribed me some specific nerve supplements, but for daily comfort, I noticed that wearing loose seamless socks to bed helped stop the burning sensation whenever my feet brushed against the bedsheet.

Since regular nerve conduction tests and specialist fees are quite expensive, I try to manage whatever I can at home. I bought a basic foot elevation wedge pillow online for cheap, and it has drastically improved my sleep quality without costing a bomb.

My neuropathy was linked to my poorly managed thyroid levels. Please get your blood work and thyroid checked regularly, because once your doctor adjusts your main medication, this nighttime foot pain will also reduce.
