How to sleep with middle back pain?

My middle back pain has become quite persistent, and it's really interfering with my sleep. I wake up feeling stiff and sore. What sleeping positions or support can help with this kind of back pain?

My posture app reminded me that middle back pain is often from desk slouching. When sleeping, try to keep your spine neutral by using a medium-firm pillow that doesn't push your head too far forward. A thin pillow under your knees also helps maintain the spine's natural curve.

Sleeping on your side with a big huggy pillow in front of you can stop your upper body from twisting. It works like magic for middle back pain and keeps you super cozy all night! Sleep well!

Your middle back might be tight from weak upper back muscles or a poor bench press form. Try sleeping flat on your back without a very thick pillow. Focus on some light foam rolling for your thoracic spine before bed to release the tension.

I ignored a persistent middle back pain thinking it was just fatigue, but it turned out to be a minor spinal misalignment that got worse over time. Please don't just change your sleep positions to hide the pain. Get it checked by a proper doctor before it becomes chronic.

A quick 10-minute walk after dinner helps loosen up my thoracic spine before I go to bed. When sleeping, I prefer a side posture with a firm pillow between my knees to keep my pelvis and back aligned, which prevents morning stiffness.

Ah, the joys of turning fifty, your back starts acting like a weather reporter! I find that sleeping on a firm mattress with a small rolled-up towel under my lower-middle back keeps everything stable. Otherwise, I wake up sounding like a creaky door.

Don't blindly try weird sleeping postures or buying expensive orthopedic beds recommended online. Middle back pain can stem from poor ergonomics, muscle strains, or even internal issues. Consult a qualified doctor or physical therapist to find the actual cause.
