How to sleep with lash extensions?

I just got lash extensions for the first time, and I'm really worried about them getting messed up while I sleep. What's the best way to sleep without damaging them? Should I sleep on my back?

I love extensions but hate how they get ruined at night. I started sleeping with a silk eye mask that has 3D cups for the eyes, so it doesn't touch the lashes at all. It is a lifesaver and keeps them looking perfect for weeks.

My sister got these and had to completely change her sleep posture to back-sleeping. It's like training for a sport, you just have to build the habit of staying flat. Also, sleeping on your back is actually great for your spine, so it's a win-win.

Don't worry, you don't have to ruin your sleep over lashes! Just switch to a silk or satin pillowcase. It has no friction, so even if your face brushes against it, your extensions won't pull or fall out easily.

This seems like a cosmetic query, but always make sure the glue used doesn't cause any eye irritation or infection. Since I have diabetes, I have to be extremely careful with minor infections as they take longer to heal. Sleep on your back to prevent rubbing.

Am I the only one who sleeps with my hands over my face because I'm so scared of crushing my lashes? I wake up with stiff hands every morning. How do you guys manage to sleep peacefully without constantly worrying?

Lash extensions are so expensive to maintain, and refills cost a bomb! To make them last, I bought a cheap U-shaped travel pillow and sleep on my back with my neck locked in. It prevents me from turning onto my side and saves me refill money.

Please be very careful, I ended up with a severe corneal scratch because a loose extension poked my eye while I was sleeping. If you feel any pain or scratching sensation when you close your eyes, see a doctor right away. Don't risk your vision for aesthetics.

My teenage daughter got these done and kept complaining about discomfort at night. I got her a satin pillowcase and told her to sleep on her back with a pillow under her knees so she doesn't roll over. It really helped her sleep comfortably.

If you feel any itching, swelling, or redness near your lash line while sleeping, please don't ignore it. It could be an allergic reaction to the adhesive. Please visit an eye specialist immediately rather than waiting for the lashes to fall out.

I know it sounds silly to others, but the anxiety of ruining expensive extensions kept me awake for nights. It is completely normal to feel frustrated trying to change your sleep habits. Just take it easy, a silk pillowcase really helps reduce the stress.
