After eating dinner, sometimes I get really bad indigestion, and then sleeping becomes impossible. I feel so bloated and uncomfortable lying down. What can I do to sleep better when I have indigestion?

Beta, chew a few fennel seeds (saunf) with warm water after your dinner, it helps calm the stomach. When you go to sleep, keep your head slightly high with an extra pillow and lie on your left side. Avoid heavy meals late at night, take care.

My family always recommends drinking a little warm water before bed for indigestion, but my doctor advised that sleeping on the left side is the scientifically proven way to ease digestion. Try that along with keeping your dinner very light.

Stop eating heavy dinners right before crashing in bed. Give your stomach at least 3 hours to digest, and sleep on your left side to keep the acid from rising. If it keeps happening, see a gastroenterologist instead of popping random antacids.

Drinking a small cup of warm ginger water after dinner can naturally ease bloating and indigestion. For sleeping, try to elevate your head slightly. However, if you experience chronic indigestion or sharp stomach pain, please see a doctor.

I tried everything from ajwain water to skipping dinner, but what really helped my nighttime indigestion was sleeping on my left side and raising the head of my bed. It takes a few days to see a difference, so don't worry, just stick to light meals.

Indigestion can sometimes affect blood sugar levels, especially if you eat heavy meals late to avoid midnight dips. I make sure to eat a high-fiber, light vegetarian dinner and sleep on my left side to keep my digestion smooth and sugar stable.

Ah, the age where a single samosa at 8 PM means staying awake till 2 AM with a burning chest! I have to sleep completely on my left side with two pillows under my head just to survive my poor food choices. Eat light, my friends!

I used to think my nighttime chest burning was just simple indigestion and kept adjusting my pillows. It turned out to be a severe ulcer that needed months of medical treatment. Please don't ignore it if it happens every night, get it checked.
