How to sleep with hip pain?

I've been having constant hip pain, and it's making it very difficult to get a full night's sleep. Every position feels uncomfortable. What's the best way to sleep when you have hip pain?

Please don't rely on random pillow configurations or exercises you see online for hip pain. The cause could be anything from arthritis to a muscle tear, and the wrong posture might worsen it. Get a proper diagnosis from an orthopedic doctor first.

At my age, joint pain is a constant companion, but we learn to manage it. Sleeping on my back with a soft bolster pillow under my knees keeps the pressure off my hips. Don't worry, with the right routine and doctors' advice, you will sleep comfortably again.

Ah, the joys of getting older, now even sleeping can injure your hips! I have to sleep on my back with a pillow under my knees like a pharaoh to avoid hip pain. If I dare sleep on my side, my joints remind me of my age immediately.

I just recovered from a bad bout of hip bursitis. What saved my sleep was buying a memory foam mattress topper to cushion my hips and strictly sleeping on the pain-free side with a pillow between my legs. It made a world of difference.

Frequent hip pain at night can often be due to tight hip flexors or weak glutes from sitting too much. Try doing some gentle glute stretches before bed, and sleep with a pillow between your knees to keep your hips aligned. It works great for recovery.

I was reading that if you are a side sleeper with hip pain, sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees is crucial. It keeps your pelvis and spine aligned, which stops the upper hip from pulling forward. Seems like an easy tip to try tonight.

While sleeping with a pillow between your knees can temporarily align your pelvis and reduce hip pain, chronic joint pain should not be ignored. It is always safest to get a clinical evaluation to rule out any joint degeneration or nerve issues.
