How to sleep with herniated disc?

Been dealing with a herniated disc for a while now, and the pain at night is the worst. I just can't find a comfortable position. Any advice on how to sleep well with this kind of back pain?

Agree with sleeping on the back. Putting a pillow under your knees is a lifesaver because it flattens your spine and reduces pressure.

I get so anxious that one wrong turn in bed will slip my disc even more and paralyze me. I try to lock myself in place by putting pillows on both sides so I don't roll over. Just take it slow and try to find a pain-free angle to rest.

If back pain is ruining your sleep, you won't survive the work week. Invest in a high-quality orthopedic mattress and a knee pillow immediately. It is a necessary expense that will save your posture and your job productivity.

I totally feel your pain, herniated discs make sleeping so difficult. I find that sleeping on my side in a slight fetal position with a pillow between my legs relieves all the tension in my lower back. Give it a try tonight!

While sleeping posture is key, a good diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric can help with the disc swelling. For sleep, lying on your back with knee support works best. Keep your dinner light to avoid any bloating which adds back pressure.

Bro, sleeping on your stomach is a big no-no with a slip disc. I always sleep on my side now with a thick pillow squeezed between my knees. It keeps my lower back aligned and stops the pinching pain.

I freaked out completely when I first got my MRI report, thinking my back was ruined forever. But with physical therapy and proper sleeping posture, the pain went away. Just sleep on your back with knee support, it gets much better!
