How to sleep with fractured ribs?
I fractured my ribs last week, and sleeping is a nightmare. Every turn causes sharp pain, and I can't find a comfortable position. Any suggestions on how to sleep with fractured ribs without too much pain?

Oh god, rib pain is the absolute worst. Just sleep propped up on pillows and don't try to lie flat.
Sleeping on your back with pillows under your knees is the best way to keep your spine and ribs stable. Try to avoid turning to your sides completely. Also, make sure you take your prescribed pain meds before bed or you won't sleep at all.
Please don't follow random sleeping hacks or binding techniques you see online for rib fractures. If you sleep in the wrong posture, you might restrict your breathing and get a lung infection. Ask your orthopedic doctor for the safest sleeping position based on your X-ray.
Keep a huggy pillow close to your chest! Hugging a soft pillow gently when you cough or turn helps support the ribs and cuts down the pain. Hang in there, it gets better day by day!

I have helped many people dealing with this, and a semi-reclined position is always the most comfortable. You can use a recliner chair if you have one, or just stack firm pillows behind your back. It prevents you from tossing and turning in your sleep which hurts the ribs.
