How to sleep with flat back syndrome?

I have flat back syndrome, and it causes a lot of discomfort, especially when I try to sleep. Lying flat feels very unnatural and sometimes causes pain. Are there certain positions or ways to support my back that can help me sleep better?

Sleeping with flat back syndrome is incredibly tough because the spine loses its natural curve. Try keeping a small rolled towel under your lower back to maintain that natural arch.

Flat back syndrome requires targeted physical therapy to correct pelvic alignment. Sleeping postures can only offer temporary relief; you must consult a physiotherapist or orthopedic surgeon to avoid long-term disc wear and nerve compression.

Beta, don't sleep on a very soft foam mattress as it makes the back sink and hurts more. Try sleeping on a firm cotton mattress and place a thin folded bedsheet under your lower back for some sweet relief.

You can try sleeping on your back with a thin, cylindrical pillow under your lower back and another pillow under your knees to ease the pelvic tilt. However, if you are experiencing shooting leg pain or numbness, please consult a spine specialist immediately.

I understand how tiring back pain can be. Sleeping on your side with a thick pillow hugged between your knees can help keep your spine in a more comfortable alignment at night.
