How to sleep with enlarged spleen?

My doctor recently told me I have an enlarged spleen, and it's causing discomfort, especially when I lie down. I'm having trouble finding a comfortable position to sleep in. Are there specific positions that are better for this condition?

I deal with PCOS and chronic bloating, so I know how uncomfortable abdominal pressure can be. With an enlarged spleen, sleeping on your right side is usually recommended to avoid putting pressure on the spleen which is on the left. Please check with your doctor for safety.

Since the spleen is located on the upper left side of the abdomen, sleeping on your right side or flat on your back is best to avoid compressing it. Avoid sleeping on your stomach completely. Ensure you follow up with your physician regarding the underlying cause.

I found that sleeping on my back with two pillows supporting my knees helps relax the belly muscles and reduces the heavy feeling. Also, keep your dinner very light so your stomach doesn't bloat and press against the spleen area.

An enlarged spleen can be prone to injury or rupture if subjected to direct trauma or pressure. You must strictly avoid sleeping on your left side or stomach. Please ensure you are getting regular ultrasounds as advised by your doctor to monitor its size.

When managing internal inflammation, keeping sleep quality high is crucial for recovery. Sleep on your right side and track your resting heart rate; if pain keeps you awake, your sleep cycles will be disrupted. Make sure to consult your doctor about when it's safe to resume core exercises.

Please don't worry, just sleep on your right side tonight so your left side remains free from any weight or pressure. If you feel any sudden, sharp pain in your left upper belly or shoulder, go to the hospital immediately. Take care and rest well.

My doctor told me my spleen is slightly swollen due to a viral infection. I am a bit scared to sleep on my stomach now. Is it okay if I sleep on my back with a soft cushion under my side, or is right-side sleeping much safer?
