How to sleep with curlers?

I love using curlers to get bouncy hair, but sleeping with them is such a hassle! They poke and feel so uncomfortable. How do people manage to sleep well with curlers in without ruining their hair or getting a neck ache?

For sleeping comfortably, use soft satin-covered foam rollers instead of plastic ones as they don't dig into the scalp. Tie a silk scarf over your head to keep them in place. But if you get severe headaches or neck strain from sleeping on them, stop immediately and consult a doctor.

Sleeping with hard plastic rollers is basically a modern torture technique. Honestly, unless you want to sleep looking like a statue on your back all night, invest in those soft satin heatless curling rods. Your neck will thank you!

We used to wrap our hair in rag rollers or soft cloth strips back in the day, and it was so easy to sleep on. Don't use those hard plastic things they sell now. Just use soft socks or cloth strips to roll your hair; they are soft and won't hurt your head.

I tried sleeping with hard rollers once and got a terrible tension headache the next morning. Now I only use soft foam rollers and sleep on a very soft down pillow so there is no pressure on my scalp. It works well for my hair type.

If you are sleeping in awkward positions due to curlers, you might wake up with a stiff neck that messes up your morning workouts. Make sure your neck posture is neutral. I always do a few light neck stretches after my morning run to release any tension.

The first time I slept with heatless curlers, my neck felt so stiff at 2 AM that I panicked thinking I damaged a nerve. But it was just muscle fatigue from staying in one position. Now I just use a neck travel pillow which supports my neck while keeping the curlers free.
