How to sleep with coccyx pain?

I've been having really bad coccyx pain lately, especially when I sit or lie on my back. It's almost impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. What's the best sleeping position for tailbone pain?

Honestly don't try to just pull through this. I kept sleeping on ordinary pillows ignoring my tailbone pain and it got so inflamed that I couldn't sit for a month. Please go see an orthopedic doc first to see if there is a hairline fracture or severe cyst, and use a proper donut cushion during the day.

I have BP issues so my doctor always tells me to keep my stress and pain under check, otherwise pressure shoots up. For tailbone pain, sleeping on the stomach with a thin pillow under your pelvis helps a lot. Get a proper checkup done too because pain shouldn't keep you awake all night.

Tailbone pain is the absolute worst, it makes sleeping a nightmare. Try sleeping purely on your side with a thick pillow between your knees.

Please don't ignore this thinking it will go away on its own. I ignored my back pain for months and it turned into a massive issue that needed long physiotherapy. If it's hurting while sleeping, go to a doctor this week and get an X-ray done.

Does anyone else also feel a sharp shooting pain the moment they try to roll over in bed? It's so scary and I am barely sleeping because of it. I tried side sleeping but it still hurts a bit, has anyone found a permanent solution?

You can try doing a warm compress or taking a warm water bath right before going to bed to relax the muscles. Sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs helps reduce the pressure on the coccyx. But if the pain is very sharp or you can't walk, please get a doctor's advice immediately.
