How to sleep with broken toe?
I broke my toe last week, and it hurts quite a bit, especially if I put any pressure on it. I'm finding it really hard to sleep at night. Is there a specific way I should position my foot?

To sleep peacefully, you must first quieten your mind. Keep your foot elevated on a high cushion above heart level, and practice some gentle deep abdominal breathing to help ease the throbbing sensation in your toe.
Just tape the broken toe to the next toe (buddy taping) as advised by your doctor to keep it stable. Keep your foot elevated on a pillow so fluid doesn't accumulate and cause throbbing pain at night.
Agree with keeping the foot raised; placing a heavy pillow under your ankle really stops the bedsheet from pressing on your sore toe.
As a diabetic, any foot injury requires extreme care to prevent infections. Please ensure you keep the toe dry, inspect it daily, and keep it elevated on a clean pillow to maintain good blood circulation.

My grandmother used to say to apply warm turmeric paste, but for a fracture, it is best to trust the doctor's splint. Elevating your foot on two pillows while sleeping on your back is the safest way to rest.
