How to sleep with a tummy ache?

My little one has a terrible tummy ache tonight and is crying because she can't sleep. I've given her some warm water, but it's not helping much. How can I help her sleep with a tummy ache?

My stomach is hurting right now and I feel so bloated that lying flat makes it worse. Does anyone else feel like their stomach is tied in a knot when they try to sleep? I am trying to sleep on my left side but the pressure is still there.

If the ache is just from a heavy dinner, a light, slow walk around the house for ten minutes can help ease the pressure. For sleeping, lay down on your left side as it naturally assists digestion and prevents acid buildup. Never do heavy exercises when your stomach hurts.

Beta, just drink a cup of lukewarm water and put a warm cloth or a hot water bottle on your stomach. Sleep quietly on your left side and don't worry. Your stomach will feel much better by the morning.

Before sleeping, you can practice deep, gentle abdominal breathing while sitting up comfortably. Once you lie down, adopt the left lateral position (left side) which is very beneficial for digestive ease according to ancient practices. Let your breathing remain soft and natural.

Whenever I get a bad stomach ache, I avoid eating anything heavy for dinner and just sleep with a hot water bag pressed against my belly. Curling my knees slightly towards my chest while sleeping on my side usually relieves the pressure.

Tummy aches are so uncomfortable when you are trying to sleep. Hope a warm water bag helps you rest tonight.
