How to sleep with a stomach ache?

Been having a terrible stomach ache since morning, probably from something I ate. Every position feels uncomfortable and I'm really struggling to get some rest. What's the best way to sleep when your stomach is hurting?

If it is just mild indigestion, a very slow 10-minute walk inside your room before sleeping can help move things along. But please don't push yourself if the pain is sharp or if your doctor has advised complete rest. Sleep on your left side to ease digestion naturally.

I am also facing this tonight and feeling very uneasy trying to lie down. Does keeping a pillow under the knees actually help with lower stomach pain? I tried sleeping flat but it is stretching my abdomen too much and hurting.

Ever since I started managing my high blood pressure, I realized how much digestion affects our overall sleep and heart rate. I always keep my dinner very light and walk for fifteen minutes. For tonight, try to prop your head up and sleep on your left side to avoid any pressure.

Honestly dude, whenever I get a random late-night stomach ache from eating hostel food, I just lie down on my left side and hug a pillow tight. Putting a hot water bottle on my stomach also helps a lot to dull the crampy feeling so I can pass out.

Don't stress, just take a deep breath and lie down on your side with your knees curled in slightly. Place a hot water bag over your stomach, it really relaxes the tensed muscles. If the pain gets too sharp or you feel nauseous, wake someone up and go see a doctor immediately, okay?

My family doctor always says that sleeping on the left side is anatomically better for stomach issues because of how our esophagus and stomach are aligned. It prevents acid reflux from making the stomach ache worse. Also, try keeping a hot water bag on your belly for twenty minutes before sleeping.

Stomach pain can be due to so many things, from simple gas to appendicitis, so please be very careful. If the pain is concentrated on the lower right side or is accompanied by vomiting, don't try to sleep it off. Go to an emergency clinic right away.

Currently staring at the ceiling because my stomach decided to throw a tantrum at 2 AM. I am just curled up like a shrimp right now, hoping the hot water bag does some magic soon so I can get at least three hours of sleep.

Beta, try sipping a cup of warm water with a little bit of fennel seeds (saunf) or ginger before you try to sleep. Sip it slowly while sitting up, and then lie down on your left side. Keep your stomach warm and do not drink cold water at all tonight.

I had severe bloating and cramps two nights ago and couldn't sleep at all. What saved me was lying down on my left side and pulling my knees up slightly towards my chest. It relieves a lot of pressure from the abdomen almost instantly.
