How to sleep with a frozen shoulder?

My doctor said I have a frozen shoulder, and it's making sleeping a nightmare. The pain is constant, especially when I try to lie down. What are some recommended positions or techniques to get some relief and sleep with a frozen shoulder?

Oh, a frozen shoulder is so painful, I've seen my aunt struggle with it! She found it easiest to sleep on her back, with a small pillow tucked under the painful shoulder to support it and prevent it from moving too much. Or sometimes, on her unaffected side with a pillow hugged close. It takes time, but you'll find a comfy spot.

Frozen shoulder means gentle care. Before sleeping, a warm compress on the shoulder can sometimes ease the pain a little. Then, sleep on your back, child. Put a soft pillow under the bad shoulder so it feels supported and doesn't ache more. Be patient, it's a slow healer.

For a frozen shoulder, simple solutions won't fix it completely, but they can help with sleep. Try sleeping on your back with a pillow under your affected arm to support it, or on your good side hugging a pillow. However, frozen shoulder needs proper physiotherapy and medical treatment; please don't rely only on sleep positions. See a doctor for a full plan.

Frozen shoulder can be quite debilitating and lead to expensive treatments if not managed. For sleep, try using extra regular pillows to prop up your arm and shoulder. No need to buy fancy orthopedic pillows if you can make do with what you have. But remember, addressing the underlying issue with a doctor and physio is key, otherwise, you'll be spending more later.
