How to sleep train a 9 month old?

My 9-month-old is still not sleeping through the night, and honestly, I'm at my wit's end. My mother-in-law keeps telling me to let her cry it out, but I feel so bad. What is the right way to sleep train a baby this age?

Nine months! Wow! 🎉 My cousin's baby loved a consistent lullaby and dim lights. Make sure the room is super cozy and dark. You got this! ✨

Haan, 9 months is a good age to start. Humne toh apne bete ke liye ek proper routine banaya tha. Din mein achhe se khelo, khilao, aur raat ko ek fixed time pe bed pe dal do. Thoda roega na, but phir adjust ho jayega. Pyaar se, patience se karo sab.

Maybe a good, wholesome meal before bedtime helps? Not too heavy, but something that keeps them full and happy. Like a small bowl of dal khichdi or Ragi porridge. A full tummy makes for a happy sleep, I always say! 😋

Yaar, my baby had sleep issues and I thought it was just normal. Later found out she had some reflux making her uncomfortable. So, don't ignore it, please. A doctor's visit before starting anything intense is smart. Always better to be sure na.

Before you start any serious sleep training, it's always good to just have a quick chat with your pediatrician. Just to make sure there are no underlying reasons for the sleep issues, like any discomfort or health concerns. Safety first, always.

At 9 months, they usually have fewer night feeds, so you can gradually reduce them if that's part of the issue. Ensure they are getting enough calories during the day. Also, a proper wind-down routine, like a warm bath and story, can signal it's sleep time. Don't worry, you'll find what clicks for your little one.
