How to sleep train a 3 year old?

My three-year-old still needs me to lie with them until they fall asleep, and they often come to my bed in the middle of the night. How can I sleep train a 3-year-old?

Oh, I totally get it, sleep training can be so stressful! It's completely normal to feel anxious about it, especially with a 3-year-old. Just remember you're not alone and it's a phase many parents go through. Be patient with yourself and your child.

Sleep training a 3-year-old is tricky, yaar. I always overthink everything, so I'd suggest making sure their room is super dark and quiet, maybe a small night light if they're scared. Routine is key, even if it feels repetitive. Good luck, it will get better!

Honestly, if it's really affecting your child's mood or energy levels, or yours, maybe a quick chat with their pediatrician wouldn't hurt. Sometimes there's an underlying reason for persistent sleep issues. Don't ignore it like I once did with my own health symptoms, it's always better to check.

For sleep training, no need for fancy gadgets or expensive sleep consultants initially. Start with simple things like a consistent bedtime routine – bath, story, bed. See if that works before looking into anything that costs money. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best and budget-friendly!

Haan ji, 3 saal ke bachche ko sulaana mushkil toh hota hai. Try giving them a warm glass of milk before bed, aur na, make sure they don't have screen time at least an hour before. Thoda consistency rakhoge na, toh pakka ho jaayega. All the best!

Beta, don't worry too much. Every child is different, and this is a phase. My grandkids also gave us a tough time with sleep. Just be patient, stick to a routine, and they will eventually get there. Time flies, enjoy these years, they won't last forever.

While sleep training, also make sure the child is eating well during the day and not over-tired. If the sleep issues are really persistent and affecting their health, a quick check-up with the doc is always a good idea. My thyroid issues made me tired, so I always say check everything properly.
