How to sleep to reduce back pain?

I've had chronic back pain for years, and it's worse after a night's sleep. What is the correct way to sleep to reduce back pain significantly?

For back pain, sleeping position makes a huge difference. I always try to sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees, it really helps align my spine. Also, make sure your mattress isn't too soft or too hard. Maintaining a healthy weight also helps reduce strain, which is something I constantly monitor with my diabetes management.

It's a common issue, back pain. Generally, people find relief by sleeping on their back with a pillow under their knees, or on their side with a pillow between their knees. But honestly, if the pain is persistent, consulting a physiotherapist or a doctor is the best course of action. They can give tailored advice after proper diagnosis.

Sleeping on your back with a small pillow under your lower back or knees can sometimes help. Also, make sure your pillow for your head is not too thick. I find that when my thyroid levels are off, I tend to have more generalized body aches, including my back. So, if your pain is ongoing, maybe get a general check-up, including thyroid tests, to rule out other factors. Always good to talk to your doc.

Oh god, back pain is the worst! I struggle with this too. Sometimes I feel like no matter how I sleep, it just doesn't get better. Has anyone else felt like even with all the right positions, the pain just stays? I keep worrying if it's something serious. Should I get an X-ray or something?

Yo, back pain from all that studying, right? I usually just try to sleep on my side with my legs kinda curled up and a pillow between my knees. It feels comfy, and I don't wake up with a stiff back. Also, avoid those super soft mattresses, they're the worst for your spine, bro.

Beta, back pain is part and parcel of growing old sometimes, or even if you sit too much. What worked for me for years was sleeping on a firm mattress and never on my stomach. Also, a thin pillow and keeping a small pillow or rolled towel under your knees if you sleep on your back helps a lot. Don't worry too much, just make sure you listen to your body and don't push it.
