How to sleep to correct posture?

My physio told me my posture is not good and that even my sleeping habits can affect it. What sleeping positions or methods can help me correct my posture over time?

Oh, I totally get where you're coming from. I used to worry so much about my posture and how I slept, it actually made my sleep worse! What really helped me was focusing on a good mattress and pillow first, and then trying to consciously adjust my position before sleeping, not stressing too much if I changed position during the night.

Hi, I also struggle with this a lot. My back always feels stiff in the morning. Is sleeping on your back with a pillow under your knees really the best way? I find it hard to fall asleep like that.

Yaar, this is such a common issue, na? Honestly, I used to sleep all weird, like on my stomach, which is actually super bad for your spine. What I found was, sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees makes a big difference. Meri neck pain bhi kam ho gayi.

According to my physiotherapist, the ideal sleeping position is on your back with a small pillow supporting the natural curve of your neck, and another under your knees to reduce pressure on the lower back. If you prefer side sleeping, ensure your pillow keeps your head aligned with your spine and place a pillow between your knees to keep your hips aligned. Avoid sleeping on your stomach completely.

Exactly this! I had terrible lower back pain for months because of my sleeping posture. What truly worked for me was investing in a medium-firm mattress and practicing sleeping on my back with a rolled-up towel under my lower back for support initially. It took time, but now I wake up feeling much better. Don't give up!
