How to sleep pregnant woman?
My sister is pregnant and she's really struggling with sleep. She keeps asking me how to sleep properly as a pregnant woman, but I don't know what to tell her. Can anyone share some tips?

My older sister is pregnant right now and she literally has a pillow fort around her bed! She says sleeping on the left side is key and she uses a long body pillow to support her belly and put between her knees. It looks comfy actually!
The main thing is to sleep on your side, preferably the left, after the first trimester. This prevents the uterus from pressing on a major blood vessel. Use pillows – one between your knees, one under your belly for support, and one behind your back to prevent rolling over. A pregnancy pillow can do all this in one!
Oh, pregnant women and sleep, it's always a challenge. I remember with my first, I used to put so many pillows around me, like making a nest. Sleeping on the left side is what all the elders would say, and it helps with swelling too. It will be over soon, beti, just hold on.
Amma always told me to sleep on my left side when I was pregnant, saying it's good for the baby. My doctor also confirmed it helps with blood circulation. I found keeping a pillow between my legs made a big difference for hip comfort. Follow what your doctor says, they know best for you.
Oh, I totally get it, sleeping while pregnant can be a nightmare! The constant discomfort is real. Definitely try sleeping on your left side. And don't underestimate the power of a good maternity pillow; it's an investment, but so worth it for some peaceful sleep. You're doing great!

I'm in my second trimester and already struggling with sleep. I keep waking up on my back even if I start on my side. Is that bad? Does anyone else have trouble staying on their side all night? I'm so worried about accidentally harming the baby.
I tried everything when I was pregnant! The best practical tip is definitely getting a full-body pregnancy pillow. It supports you everywhere. Also, elevate your head slightly if you have heartburn, and do light stretches during the day. It's tough, but you'll find what works for you.
