How to sleep on a plane?

I have a long international flight coming up next month, and I really need to get some sleep on it. Does anyone have good tips on how to actually sleep on a plane?

I always get so anxious about not being able to sleep and then being super tired the next day. Does anyone else feel that pressure? I try to avoid caffeine, but then I'm just restless. It's a whole cycle.

Eating light before and during the flight helps a lot. I usually stick to fruits, salads, or a simple dal-rice. Heavy, oily food or too much sugar can really disrupt your sleep, especially in an unfamiliar environment like a plane. And definitely no alcohol.

My doctor advised me to set my watch to the destination time as soon as I board and try to follow that sleep schedule. He also suggested staying hydrated with water, not juice or fizzy drinks, and doing some gentle stretches before and after the flight to promote relaxation. It's about minimizing disruptions.

It's completely normal to feel stressed about sleeping on a plane, so don't beat yourself up about it. The environment is just not ideal. Focus on making yourself comfortable – a good neck pillow, an eye mask, and noise-cancelling headphones are lifesavers for creating your own little sleep zone.

Haan, plane mein sona mushkil hota hai na! Main toh bass ek achha sa neck pillow le leta hu aur earphones laga ke koi podcast sunta hu. Koshish karta hu ki window seat mile toh sar tikane ko jagah ho. Aur light clothes pehno, bahut fark padta hai.
