How to sleep after throwing up?

Last night I threw up because of something I ate, and now I just feel completely exhausted but can't fall asleep. Every time I lie down, I feel a bit nauseous again. Is there a good way to sleep after this kind of upset stomach?

Dude, after throwing up, I usually just chug some water, brush my teeth quickly, and then prop my head up on extra pillows. Don't lie flat, you don't want to feel it coming back up. Light sleep is better than no sleep, man. It passes.

Haan bhai, after throwing up, pehle paani peelo thoda, and then don't lie flat. Take some pillows and sleep with your head up. Na to fir acidity hogi, na to fir se ulti ka darr. Take it easy, body needs rest, haan.

If you've thrown up badly, especially multiple times, don't just try to sleep it off. Dehydration is a real risk, and sometimes it's a symptom of something more serious. I once ignored it and ended up in the emergency room. If you're still feeling very unwell or it's not a one-off incident, please see a doctor.

It's totally okay to feel a bit scared or anxious about going back to sleep after throwing up, especially if you're worried it might happen again. That feeling of nausea lingering is awful. Just try to get into a comfortable position where your head is elevated, maybe sip a little water, and tell yourself it's okay. Your body needs rest.
