How to sleep after rhinoplasty?

I just had rhinoplasty yesterday, and I'm finding it really hard to sleep comfortably with the splint and all. Any tips on how to sleep after rhinoplasty without putting pressure on my nose? It's making me restless.

Oh, be extremely careful! I had some issues after a minor procedure because I didn't follow post-op instructions perfectly. For rhinoplasty, you absolutely *must* sleep elevated on your back to reduce swelling and prevent any accidental bumps. If you're struggling, call your surgeon's office immediately. Don't risk complications.

Rhinoplasty, eh? Sounds like you'll be sleeping like a mummy for a while, haan. On your back, elevated, no side-sleeping. Get a stack of pillows or a recliner ready. My neck hurts just thinking about it, but it's for the best. Good luck with the new nose, hope it's worth the sleep sacrifice!

My doctor strongly advised sleeping on my back with my head elevated at a 45-degree angle for at least 2 weeks after rhinoplasty. This helps reduce swelling and prevents accidental pressure on the nose. A recliner or using 2-3 pillows under your head and shoulders works well. Also, they recommended avoiding even slight head movements during sleep.

This too shall pass. After any surgery, your body needs gentle care and positive energy. Try to keep your mind calm before sleep, perhaps with some soft chanting or meditation. Remember to trust in the healing process and take good care of yourself, physically and mentally. Stay elevated, stay positive.

To keep track, maybe use a sleep tracker app or wearable to see if you're accidentally turning during the night. For actual sleeping, a wedge pillow is super helpful for staying elevated. Also, try meditating before bed with an app; it can help you relax into a comfortable back-sleeping position without tossing and turning.
