How to say ischemic stroke?

My elderly neighbour had a type of stroke called an 'ischemic stroke'. I want to understand what it is, and also how to pronounce the name correctly so I can talk about it properly. Can someone help with the pronunciation of 'ischemic stroke'?

It's pronounced 'is-KEE-mik STROHK'. It's the most common type of stroke, caused by a blood clot blocking blood flow to the brain. Knowing the difference between this and hemorrhagic stroke (where a blood vessel bursts) is good, but for practical purposes, any stroke needs immediate medical attention.

It's 'is-KEE-mik STROHK'. We just covered this in my bio class, it's about a blood clot stopping blood flow to the brain. Sounds scary, but knowing the symptoms (FAST test) is key for acting fast, so everyone should know that.

It's 'is-KEE-mik STROHK'. Very important to know the correct term, especially if you're discussing health conditions. But more than pronunciation, understanding what it is – a blockage – is crucial for quick response.

It's 'is-KEE-mik STROHK'! Sounds a bit complex, but don't worry about the pronunciation too much, just know it means a blockage stroke. 😊 What's more important is knowing the signs and getting help quickly! 🚨

It's 'is-KEE-mik STROHK'. While medical treatment is paramount for a stroke, a preventive approach with a healthy, balanced vegetarian diet rich in antioxidants and low in saturated fats can support cardiovascular health and potentially reduce risk factors. But these are preventive steps, not treatment.
