I was reading up on how our body temperature rises to fight off infections, which is actually a good defense mechanism. To get comfortable, taking a warm bath or putting a damp cloth on your forehead works well. But trying to break a fever 'fast' with heavy self-medication isn't always the best idea without knowing the cause.

Haan na, fever makes you feel so weak and restless, ho na. At home, we always do light sponge baths with normal room-temperature water, never cold water as it causes shivering. Keep drinking warm tulsi tea and coconut water to stay hydrated, and take complete rest today.

I have had a mild fever since yesterday and my body is aching so badly, which is making me really anxious. Has anyone else felt this sudden shivering and joint pain with a regular viral fever recently? I am always scared if it is something more serious like dengue.

When you have a busy work week, getting a fever is highly annoying, but you can't force your body to heal instantly. Take a standard paracetamol after consulting your doctor, stay completely off your laptop, and sleep. Resting is the fastest way to recover, rather than pushing through work.

Please take complete bed rest and drink plenty of warm fluids like vegetable soup or kanji. Do not worry, just let your body rest and recover its strength slowly. Get well soon.
