How to reverse type 2 diabetes permanently?

My doctor told me my sugar levels are quite high and I'm pre-diabetic, but he also said some people can actually reverse it completely. Is that true? I want to know how I can reverse my type 2 diabetes permanently, if possible.

I was told by my doctor that diabetes cannot be cured permanently, but only put into remission. Is that true, or is there actually a way to completely reverse it so it never comes back even if we eat normal food again? I am a bit confused and worried about this.

Hahaha, looking for a permanent exit card from diabetes so we can enjoy unlimited laddoos again? Sadly, the body doesn't work that way! But the good news is, keeping it in check with a daily walk and healthy food becomes a very easy habit after a few months. It's actually a blessing in disguise to keep us fit!

Bhai, humare purane buzurg kehte hain ki shareer ko jaisa dhaloge, waisa hi dhalega. Agar aap rojana kheti ya walk karenge aur ghar ka sadha khana khayenge, toh bimari apne aap door rahegi. Isko hamesha ke liye theek rakhne ke liye bas mehnat aur niyamit jeevan jeena zaroori hai.

There is no permanent 'one-time cure' where you can go back to eating sweets every day. I managed to get my HbA1c down to 5.3 by clean eating and lifting weights, but I know if I start eating junk again, it will shoot back up. Think of it as a permanent lifestyle upgrade, not a temporary diet.

Medical science uses the term 'remission' rather than permanent reversal. This means your blood sugar levels can stay normal without any medication, but only as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you go back to old eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle, the high sugar levels will return.
