How to reverse cavities in kids?

My 5-year-old has developed a small cavity in one of her milk teeth. I'm worried about her going through a filling. Is there any way to reverse cavities in kids, especially if they are not too deep?

I used to eat chocolates at night as a kid and got huge cavities that hurt like crazy. Honestly, parents need to force kids to rinse their mouth after every sweet and brush before bed. If the cavity is already there, just take them to a pediatric dentist.

I am so worried because my 4-year-old has black spots on his back teeth, and I'm scared he will cry in the dental chair. Has anyone else gone through dental treatments for toddlers? Is it painful for them, or do dentists handle kids gently now?

Make sure your children are eating calcium-rich foods like ragi, curd, and leafy greens to strengthen their tooth enamel. Avoid sugary syrups and processed biscuits that stick to the teeth. Diet plays a huge role, but a dentist must treat active cavities.

I tried rubbing clove oil and turmeric paste on my daughter's tooth decay, but it only reduced the temporary pain, not the cavity. We finally had to get it filled at the clinic. Don't delay dental visits with home remedies, it only causes them more pain.

Please don't worry, toddler dental issues are very common. Just take your little one to a gentle pediatric dentist who will handle it easily with a small filling.

Active decay with cavity holes in kids' teeth cannot be reversed naturally and requires a professional filling. Milk teeth act as placeholders for permanent teeth, so ignoring them can cause jaw alignment issues. Best to consult a pediatric dentist promptly.

Bachon ko kulla karne ki aadat dalein khana khane ke baad. Hamare yahan bachon ko neem ki dantoong toh nahi de sakte, par acche se brush karwana zaroori hai. Doctor ke paas le jaiye, woh saaf karke thik kar denge.

We can try giving them raw carrots to chew, which naturally cleans teeth, and avoid sweet juices. But if your child has sharp pain, swelling in the gums, or a fever, do not wait at home. Take them to a dentist for a proper checkup immediately.

Please visit a kids' dentist immediately. Cavities in children can spread very quickly and affect permanent teeth.

My nephew had a tiny cavity starting, and his pediatric dentist recommended a fluoride paste to remineralize it since it was very shallow. We also completely stopped milk bottles at bedtime because sleeping with milk in the mouth is the main cause of toddler cavities.

We bought a kid-friendly electric toothbrush with an app that plays a song for two minutes. It made brushing a fun game for my son, and his plaque build-up reduced significantly. But for existing black cavities, you definitely need a dentist's intervention.

For kids, preventing early decay is all about food habits. Avoid giving them sticky chocolates or packed juices that cling to the teeth. If the decay has started, a dentist can easily apply fluoride varnish to stop it from spreading to the permanent teeth.
