How to remove psoriasis scars?

After my psoriasis cleared up a bit, I'm left with these dark scars on my skin, especially on my legs. They are very visible and make me conscious. I was wondering if there are any treatments or creams that can help remove these psoriasis scars?

Hey, those dark spots left behind are just hyperpigmentation and not permanent scars, so don't stress too much! They will fade on their own over a few months. Just keep the skin hydrated and protect it from direct sun.

I totally get it, looking at those marks after a flare-up can be really disheartening. The red or dark patches left behind take some time to blend back into your skin tone. Regular moisturization with aloe vera or cocoa butter helped me a lot.

I tried using some strong OTC peeling creams to remove my marks and ended up triggering a fresh psoriasis flare-up in those exact spots. Be very cautious with what you apply. Please consult your dermatologist before using any scar-removal products.

I was just reading up on this because my friend is dealing with the same thing. Apparently, sun protection is super important because UV rays can make the dark spots darker. Have you tried using a gentle sunscreen on those areas?

Psoriasis doesn't usually cause true scars unless you have scratched and infected the lesions. The discoloration is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. A dermatologist can suggest mild creams containing niacinamide or vitamin C to speed up the fading safely.

I agree that patience is key here. Applying pure rosehip oil at night has been very helpful in fading my post-flare skin marks gradually.
