How to remove migraine headache?

My husband suffers from terrible migraine headaches, and I feel helpless watching him. He's tried a few things, but they always come back. What are effective ways to remove a migraine headache completely?

I was researching this because my roommate gets crazy migraines during exams. I read that cold therapy on the neck and acupressure points on the hand can offer temporary relief. It's crazy how much light and sound can trigger it, definitely seems worth talking to a specialist.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Just turn off your phone screen, dim the lights in your room, and try to get some sleep. A cold cloth on your forehead will help soothe the throbbing, and you'll feel much better when you wake up.

In our times, we used to drink warm ginger water or apply a paste of pure sandalwood on the temples to cool the head during a headache. These traditional methods can soothe the senses, but if the pain is very intense, you must consult a proper doctor for medicine.

I agree with resting in a dark room. My doctor also told me to avoid caffeine and screen time completely during a migraine attack.

Resting in a completely dark and silent room really helps quieten the throbbing. Try to drink some water and take a slow, deep breath.

I just recovered from a severe three-day migraine attack yesterday. My neurologist changed my prescription and advised me to maintain a strict sleep schedule, which has helped so much. Don't rely on basic over-the-counter pills, get a doctor's proper prescription.
