How to remove eczema marks?

My younger sister has had eczema since childhood, and though the flare-ups have reduced, the dark marks are still there on her arms. It makes her very self-conscious, especially when wearing short sleeves. We've tried a few creams, but nothing seems to help completely. What can be done for these marks?

Honestly, don't try random skin lighteners from local shops. I went to a proper dermatologist at Apollo for my skin issues, and they gave me specific creams that actually work without ruining the skin barrier. Please ask your doctor clearly before applying anything strong on old eczema spots.

Oh god, eczema marks take forever to fade and I constantly worry if they will stay permanently. I have been so scared to try anything harsh because what if it triggers another flare-up? Just stick to basic, gentle moisturizers like plain Cetaphil or heavy vaseline and let the skin heal slowly. Stay strong, it gets better!

Beta, with time these marks do fade on their own, you just need a lot of patience. In my younger days, I used to worry so much about these spots, but keeping the skin hydrated is the only real trick. Don't scrub the area or use harsh soaps, just give it some months and your skin will recover naturally.

Yes, absolutely agree with keeping the area moisturized. Using a gentle virgin coconut oil daily after bathing really helped fade my old patches slowly.

Bro, eczema marks are so annoying yaar. Actually, the key is to never let the skin get dry, even after the itchiness goes away. I just slather on heavy moisturizers twice a day and it slowly lightens the spots. Just don't scratch them, otherwise the marks will stay forever.
