How to remove dandruff from scalp?

My scalp feels very dry and itchy, and I'm constantly scratching, which makes the flakes worse. I've tried regular shampoos, but they don't seem to help much. How can I properly remove dandruff from my scalp?

I have seen this question so many times, and the answer is always simple: consistency is key. Use a shampoo containing 2% ketoconazole or zinc pyrithione twice a week. Make sure to massage it gently into the scalp with your fingertips, leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing, and avoid hot water.

I have tried everything from lemon juice to methi water and sour curd. Home remedies definitely soothe the itching and keep the scalp cool, but for stubborn dandruff, they only give temporary relief. I highly suggest using a mild, dermatologist-approved wash along with your natural routine for the best results.

Please don't ignore a constantly itchy and flaking scalp like I did. I kept brushing it off as dry skin until it turned into a severe fungal infection that caused massive hair fall. Go get it checked by a skin specialist early so they can give you the right medicated shampoo and save your hair.

You don't need to spend thousands on expensive hair clinics. A dermatologist consultation at a local clinic costs very little, and they can prescribe a basic medicated shampoo under Rs. 300. It is much more pocket-friendly and effective than buying premium salon products that don't even work.

I know how embarrassing it feels when you are constantly itching your head in meetings and finding flakes on your desk. It really affects your confidence and makes you want to hide. Just know you are not alone, and finding a simple medicated shampoo that works for you will take this burden off your mind.
