How to remove cavity pain?

Last night I had this really sharp pain in my tooth, and I'm pretty sure it's a cavity. It's bothering me a lot. What can I do to relieve this cavity pain quickly?

For temporary relief, press a clove near the aching tooth, but avoid sweet pain-relief syrups if you are managing blood sugar levels. You must see a dentist to treat the root cause.

When my daughter had sudden tooth pain at night, warm salt water rinses and pressing a clove oil cotton ball on the spot helped her sleep. We took her to the clinic the very next morning.

Don't put aspirin tablets directly on your gums to stop pain, as it causes chemical burns. Get a proper professional diagnosis to see if you need a filling or a root canal.

To keep inflammation down, avoid very hot or freezing cold protein shakes and drinks. Keep your nutrition simple and let a dentist clean out the infection causing the pain.

Save your productivity and don't try to pull through the day with home remedies. Take an OTC painkiller, book an emergency dental slot, and get it sorted out permanently.

You can try holding warm salt water in your mouth to draw out the heat and pain. Breathe slowly to calm your nervous system, but do seek a dentist's care to heal the tooth.

Take a simple painkiller like paracetamol if the ache is unbearable, but don't ignore it. It is just a temporary fix, so please call your dentist for an appointment tomorrow.

I had terrible cavity pain last month and clove oil was my savior. Just apply a tiny drop on a cotton bud and touch it to the painful area, it numbs the pain instantly.

Applying a warm compress on your cheek can help soothe the throbbing sensation. However, if there is swelling on your face or fever, please rush to a dental clinic immediately.

When I had a bad cavity ache, my doctor prescribed a specific medicated gel to apply directly on the tooth. It worked well until I got the tooth filled the following week.

Stop holding ice directly against the tooth, it will only make it hurt more. Just rinse with warm salt water and go see a dentist; painkillers won't cure a rotten tooth.
